LMIA & Work Permit

A LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) is a document given by the employer to a foreign employee to travel and work in Canada on temporarily basis. LMIA is of two types one is positive and another is negative. When no Canadian or citizen of Canada can fill the vacancy then the LMIA is Positive, if there a Canadian who can fill the vacancy then it is Negative LMIA.
To get the work permit employee should have a valid job offer letter, a contract letter and a copy of LMIA letter along with LMIA number.
